Erb Pool - City of Appleton

Registration for tihs class closed May 7, 2012 with a full roster of 15 students. Stay tuned for our 2012-2013 class schedule later this year!

A four-session Kayak Essentials class will again be offered by NEWP through the City of Appleton Parks and Recreation Department in 2012. The evening class will be held at Erb Pool on Appleton's north side. Each session runs from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday nights, June 11, 13, 18 and 20. Instructors are Jeff Mazanec, Bill Merrick, Will Stahl and Cay Moriarity with others assisting as available.

Participants will need swim wear, aqua socks or appropriate footwear. A synthetic t-shirt or lightweight neoprene is optional for comfort in the pool. Boats, paddles and all other gear required for the class are provided by the North East Wisconsin Paddlers. Nose clips will be available for a nominal fee.

Registration for the classes is available early in 2012 through the City of Appleton Parks and Recreation Department.

Wednesday February 1: 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.

Second Class: All Sundays from 2 - 5 p.m. on February 5, 12, 19 and 26

Rolls and Rescues: Sundays from 2 - 5 p.m.  on March 4, 18 and 25

Class Makeup/ Open Pool: Sundays from 2 - 5 p.m. on April 1 and 15

Open Pool Dates: January, February and March Sundays from 2 - 3:15 p.m. on same dates as scheduled classes above.
