Student Outings

North East Wisconsin Paddlers, Inc. caps off its winter classes season with an opportunity practice your new skills on real water! These events are for participants in NEWP classes in the current year and all other club members. Usually, both a whitewater and a coastal paddle opportunity is offered each year on the same weekend. On these designated student outings, NEWP offers the use of its whitewater or sea kayaks and related gear and provides qualified instructors to guide participants through the event. The purpose of the student outings is to help participants apply the lessons learned in the pool classes to real whitewater and open water situations.

The event further provides the student all this under the guidance and watchful eyes of seasoned sea kayakers.
