A single Kayak Essentials class is conducted by NEWP at the Neenah NEWP in downtown Neenah each January. The class is scheduled from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on successive Sunday afternoons. Lead Instructors are Will Stahl and Jack Roberts.
Participants in the NEWP Kayak Essentals Class at the Neenah YMCA are encouraged to take the Rolls & Rescues class offered later in the year at the Appleton YMCA. Class participants are also invited to participate in open pool sessions at the Appleton YMCA on the dates shown on the Appleton class page.
NEWP will host a Kayak Demo day in December 2011 at the Appleton YMCA. Registration is available online for YMCA members starting in mid-December. General public registration begins in early January.
