Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Paddles

Last 2014 Public Paddle Event - Appleton Locks Paddle September 27!

The Appleton Locks paddle has quickly become one of our most popular events! The combination of paddling through the heart of the city with fall colors, all followed by Appleton's exciting Octoberfest celebration promises to be a great day for all! Four lock passages on this trip! Further details are available on theevent page.

We hope you enjoyed our 2014 Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Paddle events! Our 2014 theme was Tribute to the Tributaries, and we are beginning plans now for 2015. Any requests? Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Paddle Photostream

CLASSES

Our 2015 classes are scheduled in Appleton and Green Bay, with registration opening up in mid-December. Thinking about that special Christmas gift? Plan now to attend one of 2015's great kayak symposium opportunities - Door County Sea Kayak Symposium (7/10-7/12) and the Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium.

ANNUAL MEETING - SAVE THE DATE!

Preliminary plans have been made to hold our 2015 Annual Meeting on Saturday January 24, following the same format as 2014. Our featured speaker will be Babs Malchow Smith, author of "Day Tripping: Kayak Wisconsin Door County Peninsula." Look for a De Pere location - the venue has not quite been confirmed, so check back!

Resources2014North East Wisconsin Paddler Information

About NEWP: This is the web home of the North East Wisconsin Paddlers Inc. (NEWP). NEWP, is an ACA Paddle America Club with members from throughout north east Wisconsin and beyond. NEWP is formally organized as a social club (501(c)7).

The goal of the North East Wisconsin Paddlers, Inc. is to encourage and advance paddle sport education and safety. Whether it is whitewater, surf, canoes, stand-up boards or kayaks, we look to bring together like-minded individuals with whom we can share our passion for paddling.

Check out the rest of our website for information on our club - who we are and what we do! Several of our members have earned certification as whitewater or coastal sea kayak instructors and enjoy sharing their knowledge and experience with others. We offer classes in several northeast Wisconsin citites from November through April and several other activities or events through the paddle season. Many of our members also engage in informal weekly paddles in various locations, on inland lakes or onto Lake Michigan from Two Rivers or Sheboygan launch sites.

Check us out here -  then come along for a safe, great time on the water!

NEWP is proud to be a Paddle America Club of the American Canoe Association (ACA) and affiliated with American Whitewater.
