County Sea Kayak Symposium (7/10-7/12) and the
Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium.
Our 2015 Annual Meeting will be
held on Saturday January 24 at Legends in De Pere, following the
same format as 2014. Our featured speakers will be Babs Malchow
Smith, author of "Day Tripping: Kayak Wisconsin Door County
Peninsula" and local whitewater paddler Brian Tungate
with an update on expanded whitewater access to the Fox River in

NEWPs 4th annual gear swap and
workshops are set for Saturday, April 18 in the gymnasium of St.
Mary's Parish in downtown Appleton. The swap is scheduled to begin
at 10:00 a.m. and continue to 3:00 p.m. Four workshop sessions will
be offered beginning at 10:30 a.m. No admission fee! Bring your
spare gear to sell or trade! (Commercial retail participants must
be NEWP website sponsors!)
Our 2015 public paddle events will
again include eight paddle days over six weekends as in 2014.
Several of the events will again be in partnership with the
Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Parkway, and others will focus on other
North East Wisconsin venues and identified as N.E.W. Places.

This is the web home of the North East Wisconsin Paddlers Inc.
(NEWP). NEWP, is an ACA Paddle America Club with members from
throughout north east Wisconsin and beyond. NEWP is formally
organized as a social club (501(c)7).
The goal of
the North East Wisconsin Paddlers, Inc. is to encourage and advance
paddle sport education and safety. Whether it is whitewater, surf,
canoes, stand-up boards or kayaks, we look to bring together
like-minded individuals with whom we can share our passion for

our members have earned certification as whitewater or coastal sea
kayak instructors and enjoy sharing their knowledge and experience
with others. We offer classes in several
northeast Wisconsin citites from November through April and several
other activities or events through the paddle season. Many of our
members also engage in informal weekly paddles in various
locations, on inland lakes or onto Lake Michigan from Two Rivers or
Sheboygan launch sites.
